Hello there. If you are here, you are likely seeking something. What I offer is my genuine connected presence combined with the skills and knowledge to truly help. I offer my compassion and eyes that see what others miss. My promise is that even if no one else truly sees you, I will. I cannot tell you I have been through what you have, because that would be a lie. What I can promise is that I can sit with you in your darkness, and never lose sight of your light and your potential, even if you can’t see it, and offer my deep belief that it is in your grasp to remember your truth and your purpose. I can tell you I don’t run from my own darkness so yours won’t shock me. I can tell you that my greatest strength is that I always choose love and what is true.
My approach is holistic, incorporating mind, body, and spirit. Come as you are, and I will do what I can to help you find your strength and your light. Our work will likely not be easy, but I will be with you every step of the way.
I have 20 years of experience working with people who are struggling, or who are trying to escape or manage deep pain. I received my master’s degree in social work in 2005 from Arizona State University. Since that time, I have worked with ages 12 to 95, and with individuals from varied backgrounds including those who have been in the foster care system, justice involved individuals and families, and people struggling with addictions, anxiety, depression, or just managing this thing called life, which can be so overwhelming, isolating, and unpredictable.
I utilize motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, Somatic experiencing, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other mindfulness-based strategies. I have found that what is most important is I have an ability to truly, deeply hear what people are saying. If I feel I am not what you need I will tell you and hope you will do the same. I invite you to reach out and we will find out together.

My name is Candice Mason. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with over 8 years of counseling experience.
You are courageous for seeking help. I consider it an honor to be entrusted with and hold your story, helping adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. Attachment tells us that we all have basic longings, basic fears, and basic needs. John Bowlby says, "It is isolation for us that is most traumatizing of all."
My experience and training include modalities that address trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. We work together to heal past hurts through processing emotions, engaging in corrective emotional experiences with self, in relationships, and with attachment figures. As healing is experienced through rhythm and relationships you are able to experience more self-compassion, enjoy the freedom of being authentic, find meaning and purpose, and experience love and beauty.
Other counseling interests and experience are emotionally focused-therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness), strengths-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered, parenting skills, Gottman couples method, and motivational interviewing.
I enjoy spending time with my family (and I have 3 beautiful grandchildren) and friends, eating meals together, walking, cooking, singing, dancing, playing games, hiking, going to concerts and live sports events, being in nature, and staying at a family cabin in the cooler country of Arizona.

Taking this first big step and going to therapy can seem impossible but as someone who has been in your shoes, I encourage you to find the courage to show up for yourself. You will learn a lot about yourself in therapy but more importantly, you will unlearn so much more.
My goal is to create a safe space where you can process your thoughts and feelings and understand the purpose of your behaviors. I work with my clients to identify and unlearn self-limiting core beliefs such as feelings of not being good enough, fear of failure, and perfectionism. I hope you decide to take this leap and choose yourself because if not you, then who?
I believe in working in partnership with clients, utilizing their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. I believe it is very important to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being including their physical health, support systems, work or school environment, and faith/spirituality.
A holistic, strength-based, person-centered approach guides my practice. I utilize a variety of techniques and skills drawn from recognized therapeutic modalities including but not limited to Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Informed Care (CCTSI), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relaxation.

Danielle Hind is a biofeedback Technician who specializes in the L.I.F.E System. She has chosen the L.I.F.E System as her main biofeedback device because of the training quality and the genuine belief of its community users to help each patients body heal naturally. The L.I.F.E System allows Danielle to do over 7000+ frequency test on her patients, more then any other biofeedback product on the market. Her mission is to help her patients heal emotionally, physically and spiritually by identifying and relieving stressors in the body, so the patients body can heal naturally. A patients body is 40-60% exposed to a disease once they begin to have symptoms. Danielle wholeheartedly believes that stress is the precursor to all disease and therefore, if she can create an environment where healing can take place and the L.I.F.E System can work with the body to relax muscles, release tensions, regulate anxiety, ADD,ADHD and balance stressors, the body can begin to heal itself. She loves people and loves to hear their individual stories and facilitate an environment where each patients body is allowed to respond to biofeedback and balance out acute and chronic stress potentials.

Hello, I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona. I treat clients with OCD and trauma.
TRAUMA: Do you feel stuck, maybe unable to move forward or make decisions? Does it seem like your reactions are unpredictable or that your emotions are overwhelming or numb? When you have experienced trauma, either in your past or present, it can affect your body and mind. Healing from trauma comes from within. You have the compacity to heal, you just need some tools and understanding. I am EMDR trained, use Internal Family System, and NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) help my clients through their trauma.
OCD: Do you have unwanted intrusive repetitive thoughts? Do you do things to try to get rid of the thought or to satisfy the thought? Do you spend too much time ruminating about these thoughts? Do you wish you could stop all the mental reviewing, checking or reassurance seeking? People with OCD know that what they are doing doesn’t make sense, yet they don’t feel like they have a choice. There is proven help to alleviate the pain of OCD. I use many therapies for OCD. I am trained in ERP (Exposure and response prevention therapy), Rumination focused therapy (RF), and Inference based cognitive therapy (I-CBT) and can teach you the tools you need to live a values-based life that does not let your OCD take over.
I take a caring, nonjudgmental, but curious, approach when helping clients. My love of life helps me lead clients to find their strengths and sometimes laugh along the way. I believe the best therapy is collaborative, where clients learn how life experiences have affected them and their learned responses. Understanding this will help them make changes necessary to improve their lives. I work with clients ages 12 and up and offer some evening appointments. In my personal time, I enjoy anything outdoors and spending time with my family and dog. Life is an adventure and I love to explore all the variety life has to offer.
